Practices

The Spigener Law Firm was founded by Sarah E. Spigener Rodriguez, Attorney at Law, to provide the residents of Louisiana and Mississippi with dependable, honest legal assistance.  Based out of New Orleans, Louisiana, the Spigener Law Firm specializes in personal injury claims, general civil litigation, wills and estate planning, and succession and probate.

Personal Injury
A personal injury claim can be a result of multiple occurrences which include but are not limited to motor vehicle accidents, motorcycle accidents, 18 wheeler accidents, slip and fall incidents, or accidents while working in Louisiana or Mississippi. A personal injury claim can be a life-altering experience and need special care and attention. If you’ve been injured, set up a consultation with our office as soon as possible.
General Civil Litigation
Some disputes require the law to step in so that they can be resolved and handled properly. General civil litigation includes: business formation, contracts, property damage, and uncontested divorce. Not every situation will require a court appearance. If you’re not sure if your situation requires litigation, set up a consultation with our office.
Successions & Probate
A succession or probate is a proceeding that must be initiated with the courts to transfer ownership of property and possessions to the heirs of a person who has passed away. The Spigener Law Firm will help you and your family understand and navigate the succession and/or probate process in Louisiana and/or Mississippi. With extensive experience in this area, we will make this process as simple and seamless as possible.
Estate Planning
It’s hard to believe that over 50% of the population does not have a valid will in place. If you don’t decide what happens to your worldly possessions, the state will decide for you. The Spigener Law Firm will work with you to prepare your Last Will and Testament.

For parents with minor children, an important part of your Last Will and Testament is naming a legal guardian for your children. Additionally, there are other important estate planning documents that accompany your Last Will and Testament, such as a Power of Attorney and Living Will. No one likes to think about their own passing, but it is important to have a plan in place.
